Tosenkyo : Valley where you can enjoy somen noodles cooled by spring water

osenkyo is a ravine in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, and is known as the birthplace of the revolving somen-nagashi. About 200,000 people visit the gorge every year and enjoy somen noodles cooled in spring water, which has been selected as one of the '100 best water villages', in a cool environment even in mid-summer.

Somen noodles, onigiri (rice balls), grilled trout, koikoku (carp roast), and carp saraibi (carp dish) can all be enjoyed here.

Dining here, surrounded by the scent of wood and the sound of water, will fill you up inside.

ASA offers tours of Kyushu's famous places of interest, including the Tosenkyo, as well as experiences in hidden places known only to the Japanese. Please feel free to contact us with any inquiries.
