Yobuko : A Town where you can eat squid with excellent clarity.

Yobuko" is a town located in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture. Known as the "Town of Squid," Yobuko has prospered as a natural good port since ancient times, attracting over 900,000 visitors annually, drawn by its superb "live squid" with exceptional clarity. While the types of squid available for consumption vary by season, Yobuko currently offers exquisite squid year-round.

Excluding New Year's Day, the "Yobuko Morning Market," counted among Japan's three major morning markets, is held daily from 7:30 in the morning until noon. The approximately 200-meter market street becomes a pedestrian paradise, with around 40 stalls on weekdays and about 60 on weekends offering various fresh seafood, dried goods, and locally grown vegetables and fruits. Besides shopping, visitors can also enjoy conversations with local residents.

Moreover, cruising that allows visitors to experience Yobuko's abundant sea is also popular. There are two types of courses available: "Geela" for underwater sightseeing and "Ikamaru" for cave exploration, where you can observe fish swimming underwater.
