The Hitachi Seaside Park, located in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is a vast park divided into seven areas, equivalent to 41 Tokyo Domes or about 7 times the size of Tokyo Disneyland. Known for its diverse natural beauty, a wide range of activities, and a variety of plants and flowers throughout the seasons, the park offers an immersive experience.

Admission fees range from 450 yen for adults (high school age and above), making it an enjoyable destination for visitors of all ages. The park accepts various payment methods, including credit cards, electronic money, and QR code payments, ensuring a convenient experience for visitors.

I visited the Hitachi Seaside Park in October, during the peak season for the autumn colors of Kochia. Kochia starts with green leaves, and as autumn arrives, the leaves transform into vibrant red and orange hues, creating a landscape that resembles a red carpet spread across the earth. This phenomenon is known as "Kochia's autumn foliage" within the park. The park was filled with these cute, round Kochia plants.

The autumn foliage of Kochia is a popular subject for beautiful photographs and gains significant attention on social media.

The most popular spot was the "Miharashi no Oka" (Hill of Overlooking), where you can experience the essence of autumn while looking at Kochia and Cosmos from the hilltop. It's fascinating to learn that the Kochia is replanted manually every year, ensuring that each visit offers a unique and special experience, as the landscape is ever-changing.

The park is expansive, making it possible to explore by renting bicycles. Electric bicycles and tandem bikes (designed for two riders) were particularly popular among couples and visitors, providing an enjoyable and leisurely cycling experience.

Feel the beauty of the landscape while letting the wind breeze through. Along the paths, you'll find acorns and pinecones scattered, providing opportunities for children to stop and enjoy the surroundings.

Certainly, each spot offers rest areas and food stalls, allowing you to take a leisurely break and satisfy your hunger while enjoying the surroundings.

The athletic playground for children is well-equipped with various play structures. It's perfect for preschoolers, and I even spotted families having picnics in this area.

There's a small amusement park with attractions incorporating 4D experiences, thrilling rides for children, and even a Ferris wheel. This area alone offers more than enough enjoyment. There are also restaurants and food trucks available.

For the rides, you can either purchase individual tickets or opt for a full-day pass, such as a 3000 yen ride voucher. The official website often provides discount coupons, allowing you to tailor your purchase to your preferences and save money.

Of course, each spot has rest areas and food stalls where you can take a leisurely break and satisfy your hunger.

It seems like they have seasonal events throughout the year. This time, you enjoyed the Halloween-themed photo spots!

It sounds like it was a day that passed in the blink of an eye until the sunset!
