A highlight of Isahaya is the Megane Bridge ("Eyeglasses Bridge"), nestled within Isahaya Park. Easily accessible via a short taxi ride from Isahaya Station, the bridge offers a peaceful retreat. Its name comes from the bridge’s arches, which resemble a pair of eyeglasses.

Interestingly, the bridge was originally located elsewhere and has been designated as an Important Cultural Property by Japan.

Isahaya Park is less crowded and is a quiet place where you can quietly enjoy its natural beauty and historical significance. In addition to the iconic bridge, the park also contains the ruins of a castle. Japan is famous for its castles, which are usually crowded, but this lesser-known location offers a more relaxing way to explore. The park is decorated with various plants and beautiful flowers.
I noticed that the information board explaining the castle's history was a bit difficult to read, so I wiped it down with a cloth I had on hand, and it cleaned up nicely. I took photos and made notes to research more about this place once I got home.
