Yutoku Inari Shrine is located in Kashima, Saga Prefecture. It is one of the three major Inari shrines in Japan and is believed to be beneficial for business prosperity, family prosperity, traffic safety and match-making.

Yutoku Inari Shrine is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Saga Prefecture, attracting approximately 3 million worshippers a year. The shrine is full of attractions, including the gorgeous and beautiful shrine pavilions, seasonal flowers, a spectacular view from the inner sanctuary and a charming shopping street.

There is also a Japanese garden in the precincts of the shrine, so the scenery other than the buildings is also attractive. The azalea flowers are beautiful in spring, and in early summer the vermilion-lacquered shrine pavilions contrast beautifully with the lush greenery that flourishes on the grounds.

The Monzen shopping street on the approach to Yutoku Inari Shrine is lined with restaurants and souvenir shops along a 400-metre stretch. The shops have an atmosphere that dates back to the Edo period, and are a pleasure to walk through.
