"Kokonoe Yume Otsurihashi Bridge" in Kokonoe Town, Oita Prefecture, is the "highest suspension bridge in Japan" for pedestrian use, at 173 m high and 390 m long. From the bridge, which is 777 m above sea level, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Kujyu mountain range.

The view from the bridge is spectacular and includes "Shindo Falls", one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan, and "Kyusuikei River", famous for its fresh greenery and autumn leaves. The bridge is particularly crowded with tourists in early November, when the autumn leaves are at their best.

At night, the suspension bridge is illuminated, creating a fantastic atmosphere. It is recommended to visit at night to enjoy the night view from the suspension bridge.
