"Kirishima Shrine" is a Shinto shrine located in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It boasts a long history dating back to the 6th century and is famous for its deep connection to mythology. Additionally, it is known as one of the foremost power spots in southern Kyushu.

Upon passing through the serene greenery-lined approach, one encounters the magnificent shrine, adorned with dignified vermilion lacquer. Built with a slope, the shrine is lavishly decorated throughout its interior, with each building designated as a national treasure or important cultural property.

The nine faces of Kirishima Shrine, passed down since ancient times, hold unique beliefs related to fundraising and other endeavors. There are various charms and goods associated with these faces. The surrounding area offers beautiful scenery, including autumn foliage spots and the picturesque Kirishima Gorge formed by volcanic activity, where visitors can enjoy the rich natural landscapes and experience the sacred atmosphere away from the city.
